    Fostering Relationships- A Collection of Best Practices by Foster Parents and Professionals

     

    In conjunction with Fostering Agency, PPIS Oasis' 5th anniversary, they launched a book called "Fostering Relationships- A Collection of Best Practices by Foster Parents and Professionals". This book contains strategies used by foster parents to help their foster children settle in better during placements. It also has quotes from foster parents to encourage other foster parents to persevere and for potential applicants to join the Fostering Scheme.

     Room at the Table

     

    Room at the Table” is a commemorative book published in 2016 to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Fostering Scheme. The book features stories and recipes of foster families as well as interviews with various professionals involved in foster care. In short, good foster care is a team effort.

    MSF Fostering Service together with representatives from the Child Protective Service and MSF-appointed Fostering Agencies developed a story book titled ‘Support for Lisa’. It narrates the journey of a foster child learning about her support network and the individuals she can trust to help ensure her safety and well-being. This story book is suitable for children from ages 5 to 9
