Family Development and Support

Family Development Group

We strengthen and support families to realise the vision of making Singapore the best place for family life through our policies, programmes and publicity efforts.

  • The Ageing & Extended Family Branch is made up of the Office of the Public Guardian, Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents and the Commissioner of the Maintenance of Parents.
  • ​The division supports families by providing digital solutions and online resources to improve the delivery of family services.
  • ​The Family Engagement Branch is made up of 3 units - the Social Development Network, Families for Life, and the Public Engagement unit. 
  • ​The Family Policy Office formulates and reviews policies that promote and strengthen families, as well as conducts family research to drive and inform evidence-based policies and programmes.
  • The mission of the Division is to work with our partners to ensure memorable marriages and enrich parenthood.
  • The Family Support Division strengthens marriages and families by developing and implementing evidence-based and evidence-informed family support programmes for different stages of family life.
