Terms and Conditions for the MSF Mother’s Day 2021 Social Media Contest
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
1 The Mother’s Day 2021 Social Media Contest (the “Contest”) is organised by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (“MSF”).
2 By entering the Contest, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, including any amendments thereto (the “T&Cs”).
3 MSF reserves the right to amend the T&Cs from time to time, and modify, cancel, or suspend the Contest at its sole discretion at any time. Notice of any such amendments, cancellations or suspension will be posted on MSF’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
Eligibility
4 This Contest is open to all Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents as of the date of submission of the Instagram and Facebook post (each an “entry”).
5 Employees of MSF, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Each entry should be provided by the contestant as of the date of submission (“contestants” and each a “contestant”), and should include one or two sentences to dedicate the entry to the individual they would like to feature.
6 The Instagram Contest starts on 30 April 2021, 12:00pm and ends on 9 May 2021, 11:59pm (Singapore Time). The Facebook Contest starts on 4 May 2021, 10:00am and ends on 9 May 2021, 11:59pm (Singapore Time). All entries must be received by 9 May 2021, 11:59pm (Singapore Time).
7 By submitting an entry, the contestant (hereinafter also referred to as "You") agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these terms and conditions. You represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept as final and binding, the decisions of MSF in relation to this Contest.
8 The entry must fulfil all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to these terms and conditions or any other rules or specifications issued by MSF, may, at any time and at any stage of the contest, at the sole discretion of MSF, be disqualified from the contest.
9 To submit a valid entry for the Contest, you must follow the steps as stated in the respective giveaway Instagram Stories and Facebook post. This includes:
a. Taking a photo with your mother using our Blossom Buds filter.
b. Sharing your photo on Instagram by tagging @msfcares and #CelebratingSGWomen along with a short message on why you think there is no mum like her or in the Comments section of our Facebook post.
c. Make sure your Instagram or Facebook account is set to ‘Public’.
10 You warrant that each entry submitted for the contest is original and has been created by the contestant. By submitting the entry, you further agree to be liable to MSF for any violation of confidentiality, patent, copyright or any other intellectual property rights in the entry, and to indemnify and hold MSF harmless from and against any actions, claims, loss or damages for infringement or alleged infringement of such confidentiality, patent, copyright or other intellectual property rights and against any third party actions.
11 Multiple Contest entries per Instagram and Facebook account are accepted. However. each contestant is only entitled to 1 winning entry.
12 Entries submitted after the stated date and time for each giveaway post will not be accepted.
Judging of Entries and Prizes
13 MSF reserves the right to disqualify any entry which does not comply with the T&Cs or are deemed to be of poor quality, incomplete, illegible, incomprehensible, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, defamatory or otherwise inappropriate in the sole and absolute opinion of MSF.
14 All decisions by MSF relating to the Contest are final. MSF is not obliged to provide reasons concerning the selection of the winning entries or entertain any appeals whatsoever.
15 MSF will select 10 winning entries on Instagram, and 1 winner will be announced each day. Each winner will be entitled to $100 dining vouchers at one of the following Pan Pacific Hotels Group restaurant: Edge, Lime, Peppermint, Ginger and Spice Brasserie, which will be chosen at random. The dining vouchers are valid for 6 months from 10 May 2021, and are applicable for both a la carte menu and buffets. They are not valid on eve of public holidays and public holidays. They are not applicable for takeaway or online orders, promotional items/set menu. They cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts, and are not exchangeable for cash.
16 MSF will select 10 winning entries on Facebook, and winners will be announced at the end of the contest. Each winner will be entitled to an OSIM uGem 2 Beauty Massager worth $129.
17 Winners will be announced on MSF’s Instagram Stories and Facebook, and informed of instructions on prize collection through Facebook private message or Instagram direct message.
18 If a winner is uncontactable by MSF or does not respond to the notification by MSF within 5 days, MSF reserves the right to select a replacement winner or forfeit the prize, and the originally selected winner shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation from MSF.
19 Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Unless otherwise stated, the winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred in relation to the acceptance of the prize.
20 MSF makes no warranties, representations or guarantees either expressed or implied regarding any prize, including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
21 MSF reserves the right to disqualify any entry, forfeit and/or reclaim any prize at any time if they deem that there has been a breach of the T&Cs by any winner, whether discovered during or after the Contest Period.
22 MSF may in its sole and absolute discretion substitute, withdraw and/or cancel any prizes or make changes to the value and/or number of prizes at any time without prior notice. MSF is not obliged to provide reasons and shall not be liable for any payment or compensation to any person due to such changes.
Personal Information
23 By entering the Contest, you agree that MSF may collect, use and disclose your personal data (including but not limited to your name, Instagram or Facebook handles and profile pictures) as provided for:
a. the purposes of administering the Contest and in relation to your participation in the same,
b. promotional, marketing and publicity purposes relating to the Contest and MSF generally,
c. MSF’s conduct of research, analysis and development activities (including data analytics, surveys and/or profiling),
d. MSF’s reference and archival purposes. If necessary, MSF may share this data with other Government agencies (or non-Government entities which have been authorised to carry out specific services by MSF) unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation.
