MSF Scholarships

MSF provides scholarships to outstanding students who are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of others.  As a scholar, you can look forward to an exciting and fulfilling career in the Ministry upon graduation.  You will join us to shape the development of Singapore’s society, explore an exciting range of experiences and develop your own talent to its fullest potential.  

What scholarships does MSF offer?


1. Local Merit Scholarship

To pursue undergraduate studies at local universities such as the:

  • National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
  • Singapore Management University (SMU)
  • Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
  • Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
  • Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
  • Universities approved by MSF

2. Singapore Government Scholarship

To pursue undergraduate studies locally, or at overseas universities in countries/regions such as:

  • Asia & Oceania – China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand
  • Americas – Canada, United States
  • Europe – France, Germany, United Kingdom
  • Other countries/regions approved by MSF

Who can apply for MSF Scholarships?

Applicants must be:

  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents intending to take up citizenship, with
  • Excellent results in GCE ‘A’ Levels, Polytechnic Diploma with Merit or equivalent qualification (e.g. International Baccalaureate)
  • Good Co-Curricular Activities records
  • Strong leadership qualities and potential
  • An interest in a career with MSF

Current undergraduates who desire a career with MSF, and have performed well academically and in other areas, may apply for MSF’s mid-term scholarships.  Mid-term applicants should have completed at least one semester in their undergraduate studies, and are not in their final year of studies.

What does the scholarship offer?

Local Merit Scholarship

  • Full tuition fees
  • Maintenance and other allowances
  • Sponsorship for approved developmental programmes such as student exchange /summer programmes and CCAs etc. 
  • Sponsorship of Master’s degree (if requirements are met)

 

Singapore Government Scholarship

  • Full tuition fees
  • Return economy class airfare (if applicable)
  • Maintenance and other allowances
  • Sponsorship for approved developmental programmes, such as student exchange /summer programmes and CCAs etc. 
  • Sponsorship of Master’s degree (if requirements are met)

What courses can I pursue?

Most disciplines will be considered as we need a wide variety of talent in the Ministry.
