The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) appointed three new Pre-School Anchor Operators today. Metropolitan YMCA’s MY World Preschool, Kinderland Consortiums-Skool4Kidz, and EtonHouse International’s E-Bridge Pre-school will join PAP Community Foundation and NTUC First Campus’ My First Skool as Anchor Operators for the early childhood sector.

Social Service Offices to be set up in HDB towns to strengthen delivery of social services to needy Singaporeans

MSF will set up about 20 Social Service Offices island-wide over the next 2-3 years to serve needy residents in HDB towns. These Offices will build on the existing network of help touch points and enable the ministry to meet future needs.

Public Assistance (PA) Scheme Enhanced to Provide Greater and More Flexible Help for the Needy

From 1 April 2013, Public Assistance (PA) recipients can look forward to a higher level of assistance that is flexible and customised to their needs. The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) will enhance the PA scheme by providing additional tiers of assistance, while at the same time increasing the cash assistance rates in the primary tier.
