Guide to submitting a Search Request / Certified True Copy (CTC) Application

Search Request

1. You can search the following registers maintained by OPG:

  • Register of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)

  • Register of Court Orders appointing Deputies

2. An LPA search result will inform you who the Donee(s) are and the types of powers they have, if there is an LPA. A Court Order search result will inform you who the active Deputy(ies) are (if any), and the date of the court order (if applicable).

3. For search requests under the Mental Disorders and Treatment Act Order (before 1 Mar 2010) in respect of a person alleged to lack capacity (“P”), the Office of the Public Guardian does not have the updated information for this case. You may wish to file a request to inspect files at the Supreme Court.

4. Please note that no refunds will be given for requests that are not approved.
