Social Service Offices (SSOs)

Social Services Office (SSO) volunteers provide assistance to residents who need help at MSF’s 24 SSOs.

Besides administering Government financial assistance schemes, the SSOs also support individuals and families with customised care plans, and referrals to relevant help agencies based on their needs (e.g. job matching and family services). This ensures that residents are helped in a comprehensive, convenient, and coordinated way.

If your heart beats to help individuals and families overcome life’s setbacks, volunteer at your nearest SSO.

Volunteers help to:

  • Explain and advise residents on financial assistance schemes
  • Attend to queries/feedback by residents
  • Do regular engagements and check-ins with the residents to ascertain their well-being
