Mr Masagos Zulkifli took on his current appointment as the Minister for Social and Family Development on 27 July 2020. 

Mr Masagos entered politics in 2006, after being elected as a Member of Parliament for Tampines Group Representation Constituency. Prior to that, Mr Masagos was working in Singapore Telecommunications Limited and last held the position of Chief Executive Officer, SingTel Global Offices. 

Mr Masagos held various positions in the Singapore Government. He was first appointed as Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education. This was followed by Ministerial appointments from 2015 onwards, at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Home Affairs, the Environment and Water Resources and Health. 

He was Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs from 2018 to 2025, where he helmed the formation of M3 (MUIS, MENDAKI, PA MESRA) to synergise efforts to build the Malay-Muslim community.
