44 Individuals Awarded Scholarships at the MSF Family Scholarship Ceremony 2026

1. The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), awarded scholarships to 44 individuals at the third joint annual MSF Family Scholarship Award Ceremony on 31 July 2026. Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, attended the scholarship ceremony as the Guest of Honour.

2. The scholarships recognise exemplary students who are committed to creating positive change in society and support the development of future talent for MSF, NCSS, and the wider social service sector. The scholarships reflect continued efforts to attract and nurture passionate individuals to join a growing community of more than 20,000 social service professionals dedicated to strengthening families, supporting individuals and building a more caring and inclusive Singapore.

3. The 44 individuals received scholarships to pursue their undergraduate or postgraduate studies across a range of disciplines.  The scholarships awarded include the:

a. MSF-Local Merit Scholarship and MSF-Singapore Government Scholarship awarded by MSF to outstanding students who are keen to pursue their careers with MSF and the Public Service; and 

b. Social Service Scholarship awarded by NCSS, to nurture talents for the social service sector – in the areas of Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Psychology.

4. Applications for the next scholarship cycle will open in September 2026. Individuals interested in pursuing a career with the MSF Family of agencies may apply via the Public Service Commission Singapore website ( psc.gov.sg/scholarships/) and the Social Service Scholarship website ( go.gov.sg/socialservicescholarship). More information on the scholarship categories and number of recipients can be found in Annex A.
