Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli on Working Visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar
1. Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli will make a working visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar from 2 to 7 October 2026. He will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
2. In Riyadh, Minister Masagos will participate in the 2nd Global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the invitation of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. In this regard, Minister Masagos will participate in an international Ministerial panel alongside Ministerial representatives from Bahrain, Qatar, Turkiye and Oman, where he will discuss how governments, businesses and communities can work together to drive meaningful and sustainable social impact. Minister Masagos will share Singapore’s perspectives and experience in advancing social development through strong cross-sector partnerships and sustained corporate social responsibility efforts, including the Sustainable Philanthropy Framework.
3. Singapore's participation at the Forum reflects the importance of engaging in global conversations on social development and corporate social responsibility. The Forum provides a platform for countries to exchange perspectives, strengthen partnerships, and learn from one another's experiences in building more inclusive and resilient societies. On the sidelines of the Forum, Minister Masagos will have bilateral meetings with his counterparts and meet senior leaders from the region.
4. In Doha, Minister Masagos will call on Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina Bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Qatar Foundation Vice Chairperson Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani and visit organisations to gain insights into efforts to support inclusive development.
