Partnership to Tackle Homelessness Fund Projects

Dr Hamid Razak asked the Minister for Social and Family Development (a) what outcome indicators the Ministry will use to evaluate the Partnership to Tackle Homelessness (PATH) fund's 11 new-initiative pilots and six shelter-upgrade projects for rough sleepers; and (b) whether findings from these projects will inform funding decisions ahead of the next application window in March 2027.

Answer

  1.     As shared in the previous written reply to Question No. 1922 by Dr Wan Rizal, the Partnership to Tackle Homelessness (PATH) Fund supports projects that strengthen community partners’ capabilities and test new approaches to tackling homelessness. The projects address different types of support needed, including employment, work-readiness, social support and improvements to shelter facilities.

  2.  The funding decisions for the next application window will not be contingent on the findings from the first tranche of projects under PATH Fund. The intent of the Fund is to encourage more ground-up experiments and innovations from the sector.
