Mr Alex Yeo asked the Ministry for Social and Family Development (a) whether the Ministry can provide an update regarding the further extension of the waiver of the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Form 1 filling fee for Singaporeans beyond 31 March 2026; and (b) if not, whether there are alternative plans to continue encouraging Singaporeans to execute their LPAs.

Answer 

1       We have no updates on a further extension of the waiver of LPA Form 1 filling fees.

2       We encourage all citizens to make their Lasting Power of Attorney (LPAs) as soon as possible, to take advantage of the waiver before it expires on 31 Mar 2026.
