The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) announced in its Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service (PCRS) 2019 Annual Report that 538 new Probation Orders were issued in 2019. About 83 per cent of those placed on probation were below the age of 21.
Phased Reopening of Preschools and Early Intervention Centres from 2 June 2020

On 19 May 2020, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce outlined plans to exit the Circuit Breaker measures on 1 June 2020. Preschools and Early Intervention (EI) centres will start to reopen from 2 June 2020, to allow young children to continue learning and to support parents as they return to work. The centres will reopen in phases, emphasising safety and minimising the risk of transmission.
Civil and Muslim Marriage Solemnizations and Registrations can be Conducted via Video Link During the COVID-19 Period

A 62-year-old male resident of Acacia Home (“the Home), located at Admiralty Street, has tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing is ongoing. Acacia Home will not take in new residents for the time being.

A teaching staff at Learning Vision @ Work at 1 Lower Kent Ridge Road has tested positive for COVID-19. As a precautionary measure, ECDA has directed that the Centre be temporarily closed from 16 April 2020 to 23 April 2020.
Preschool operators to provide fee offsets during circuit breaker period

DPM Heng Swee Keat has announced additional support for workers, businesses and households under the Solidarity Budget to help tide Singapore through the one month of COVID-19 major circuit breaker measures. Taking this into consideration, ECDA has required all preschool operators to provide parents offsets for 50% of their nett fees for one month, for Singaporean children not attending preschool during this one-month circuit breaker period.

ECDA was informed that a non-PCF para-educational professional who provides intervention programmes to a group of children at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Bedok Reservoir-Punggol Blk 414 tested positive for COVID-19. As an added precautionary measure, ECDA has directed that the Centre be temporarily closed from 6 April 2020 to 15 April 2020.
