Diversity Task Force's Work Gathers Steam, Advisory Panel of Prominent Business Leaders Announced

With an Advisory Panel sharing its expertise and providing guidance to the Diversity Task Force (DTF), much progress has been made in its study. The DTF was formed last year to examine the state of gender diversity on boards and in senior management in Singapore, as well as its impact on corporate performance and governance.

Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Chan Chun Sing, announced a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Masterplan for the early childhood sector at ECDA’s inaugural Early Childhood Conference today. The CPD Masterplan is a key component of ECDA’s manpower strategies to attract, develop and retain early childhood (EC) professionals, and raise the quality of EC programmes.
Resource Kit on Developmental Needs for Parents

The Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) has developed a resource kit for parents whose children in mainstream pre-schools have been diagnosed with developmental needs. The resource was developed in collaboration with the National Council of Social Services (NCSS), Health Promotion Board (HPB) and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

Parliamentary Secretary for Social and Family Development, Ms Low Yen Ling, announced a suite of initiatives to enhance the capabilities of family life educators at the inaugural Family Life Education (FLE) Conference 2013 today. For a start, up to 150 volunteers will be trained over the next 3 years to help co-facilitate FLE programmes in schools and the community. Ms Low also announced funding schemes and more training platforms aimed to strengthen the FLE sector to provide quality FLE programmes and resources for families.
