Singapore is strongly committed to the advancement of all women and girls and reaffirms our support for the full, effective, and accelerated implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. We also reaffirm our commitment to CEDAW, and our support for CSW in advancing efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 5¹. 

​Ms Sun Xueling, Minister of State for Social and Family Development and Home Affairs, will deliver Singapore’s National Statement during her attendance at the 67th session of the United Nations (UN) Commission on the Status of Women1 (CSW) from 7 to 10 March 2023, which includes a special commemoration of International Women’s Day on 8 March. She is accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Social and Family Development.

The Republic of Indonesia and the Republic of Singapore have strengthened their bilateral cooperation with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on women empowerment, child protection and family development. 

Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will make a working visit to Bandar Seri Begawan, Negara Brunei Darussalam from 10 to 12 June to affirm strong bilateral relations between the two countries.

​The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has appointed Dr Kenneth Poon Kin-Loong as the new Singapore Government Representative for children’s rights on the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children.
