Early Intervention helps children with special needs and their families realize better outcomes in the long-term.
- From Oct 2014, the base subsidy for EIPIC has increased from $300 to $500 a month for Singapore Citizen children.
- Since Oct 2014, the means-tested subsidy for EIPIC has been extended to include more households up to the 80th income percentile, for both Citizen and PR children.(Families with income per person of up to $3000 a month can benefit, up from $1500 before Oct 2014.)
- DSP provides learning support & therapy for children with mild developmental needs, so they can make a smoother transition to primary school.
- More than 1,300 children in over 300 preschools have benefitted from the DSP in 2015.
