Classes of Licence

If you operate or are planning to operate a licensable Social Residential Home (SRH), you will need to obtain the relevant licence and the respective regulations will apply to you. Please refer to the First Schedule to the Act for definitions of the licensable SRHs.

The classes of licence and relevant MSF residential home types are shown in Table 1 below.

From 1 July to 31 December 2026, existing MSF residential Homes will transit to be licensed under the SRHA. More details have been sent to the following Homes regarding the licence application process and timelines:
