VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF)

VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF)

Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), Charities and Institutions of Public Character (IPCs) can tap on VCF to improve their capabilities and services in the social service sector.

About VCF

The Government extended the VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF) from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2021. The $100 million fund aims to enhance the professional, organisational and service capabilities of VWOs providing social services in Singapore. Registered charities and IPCs can also tap on VCF to improve their governance and management capabilities.

The new tranche of VCF will focus on the following strategic thrusts through three grants, Professional Capability Grant, Organisational Development Grant and Innovation and Productivity Grant:

  1. To grow stronger hands in the sector;
  2. To nurture a more productive and innovative sector; and
  3. To develop and retain quality manpower for the sector.

VCF is administered by the National Council of Social Service.
