Temporary Closure of Creative O Preschoolers' Bay

As announced by the Ministry of Health today, one of the new COVID-19 cases confirmed today (Case 112) is an assistant cook working in Creative O Preschoolers' Bay (31 International Business Park). She became unwell on 21 February 2020 a few hours into her shift, and went to see a doctor promptly. She was placed on medical leave and has not been in the preschool since then.
Government Accepts All Recommendations by Committee to Review and Enhance Reforms in the Family Justice System

The Ministry of Law (MinLaw) and Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) have concluded our assessment of all the feedback received, via a six-week- long public consultation, on the recommendations submitted by the Committee to Review and Enhance Reforms in the Family Justice System (RERF Committee) in September 2019. There was wide support for many of the recommendations, especially in the areas of early support for couples facing divorce, and enhancements to the family justice system.

As part of efforts to expand the provision of government-supported preschool places, the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) in November 2019 launched a new call for applications from childcare operators for the new term of the Partner Operator (POP) scheme. ECDA closed the application process on 31 Jan 2020 (Friday) and received 52 applications from operators to join the next term of the POP scheme. This is more than double the number of operators currently appointed on the existing POP term.

Enhancing Support for Disadvantaged Families by Strengthening Community Partnerships

Mr. Desmond Lee, the Minister for Social and Family Development, officially launched the Marsiling Community Link (ComLink) programme space today. Marsiling is one of four estates in Singapore with ComLink. The other three locations are Jalan Kukoh, Kembangan-Chai Chee and Boon Lay. ComLink was first introduced in March 2019. It provides targeted community-based programmes and support to families with children who are staying in rental housing.

To apply, registered Key Appointment Holders should email Sector_Funding@ecda.gov.sg with your centre codes for information on how to submit an Expression of Interest. Existing Partner Operators will also have to express their interest if they wish to be considered for the new term.
ECDA will acknowledge receipt of the email within 3 working days.
You are advised to email ECDA early to give sufficient time to prepare your application and supporting documents before the submission deadline on 31 Jan 2020, 5pm.
