Rallying immediate and extended families to celebrate Golden Jubilee weddings
The Registry of Marriages (ROM) is organising upcoming initiatives to celebrate Golden Jubilee weddings, and would like to invite members of the public to take part if they are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year, or to nominate eligible couples.>
The move is part of ROM's efforts to celebrate and promote strong families and marriages in Singapore. Following positive feedback from the public after a similar celebration it had organised last year, ROM is expanding its efforts to celebrate the occasion with wedded couples on an annual basis.
Couples celebrating their Golden Jubilee Wedding from 2017 onwards will receive a commemorative marriage certificate if at least one party is a Singapore Citizen, and had registered a civil marriage with ROM. ROM will also organise a vow renewal event for these couples in the following year, close to Valentine's Day. More details will be released later.
Couples or their family members, can contact ROM (Call 6338 7808 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org) to register their interest or to nominate eligible couples. Details required are the couple's names, identification numbers and their date of marriage.
