Minister for Social and Family Development, Second Minister for Health and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will make a working visit to Bandar Seri Begawan, Negara Brunei Darussalam from 10 to 12 June to affirm strong bilateral relations between the two countries.

​87% of the Probation Orders that ended in 2021 were successfully completed, the highest completion rate since 2012. This was a key achievement highlighted in the Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service (PCRS) Annual Report 2021, which recognises the collective efforts of families, Probation Officers, Volunteer Probation Officers, and community partners in supporting probationers in their rehabilitation journey. 

​Following the adjustment in Singapore's Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) status on 26 April 2022, and extensive easing of community and border measures, MSF and NCSS have reviewed and will close all TCF COVID-19 relief schemes with immediate effect. Those who had been certified as COVID-positive before 24 May 2022 can still apply.

​MSF is proposing amendments to the Women’s Charter to enhance legal protections against family violence. These proposed amendments incorporate the comprehensive feedback from various stakeholders.

​The Bill seeks to repeal the Adoption of Children Act 1939 and re-enact a new Adoption of Children Act 2022, with the child’s welfare as the primary guiding principle.

​The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) has appointed Dr Kenneth Poon Kin-Loong as the new Singapore Government Representative for children’s rights on the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children.
