As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen family-based care and community support for vulnerable children, the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) will launch the Safe and Strong Families (SSF) pilot programme in the community by December 2016. For a start, the pilot will reach out to 400 eligible families and vulnerable children over three years.

Allegations of Inappropriate Punishments at PERTAPIS Children's Home (PCH)

MSF has received information that some children residing in the PERTAPIS Children’s Home (PCH) may have been inappropriately punished physically by some staff of PCH. After reviewing the information, MSF has filed a report with the Singapore Police Force. The Police have commenced investigations on the matter.
