  • To find a life partner, or simply to widen your social circle, you can approach dating agencies accredited by the Social Development Network (SDN), SDN.sg or join – an online portal for singles.
  • The Ministry – through its network of partners – organises, supports and provides marriage education programmes to couples of various needs.
  • To be legally married in Singapore, you must register and solemnise your marriage at the Registry of Marriages (ROM) or Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM).
  • Divorce and child custody are legal procedures handled by the Family Court and Syariah Court (Muslim marriages). The Ministry carries out child custody investigations when ordered by the court and provides support to single parents. Learn more about divorce support at www.msf.gov.sg/divorce-support.
  • Married couples may face conflicts and differing expectations in their relationship, leading to marital stress, and grow apart. Seek help early from a professional to work with you and your spouse on improving your marital relationship.
