Who is this page for?
This page is relevant for professionals who work with children and young persons, vulnerable adults, couples and/or families. This includes medical social workers, professionals from the education sector (e.g. school counsellors, student welfare officers, preschool educators), social service agencies, Courts, etc.
What are reporting and assessment tools?
MSF has developed evidence-based reporting and assessment tools for use by professionals in the screening and assessment of reports of violence, abuse or neglect. These tools help to guide them on assessing and deciding what follow-ups are needed when a concern of abuse, neglect or violence in the family is discovered. They help professionals to ensure that timely and appropriate intervention is provided to vulnerable individuals and families. They also provide a common language for professionals of different disciplines to discuss concerns of violence, abuse or neglect.
Please see the different tabs for various types of reporting tools:
Type of abuse | Tab | Relevant Tools for professionals |
Child Abuse | Child Abuse Reporting tools | Sector- Specific Screening Guide, Child Abuse Reporting Guide |
