Employment Assistance for Persons with Disabilities

SG Enable is a key focal point to support the needs of persons with disabilities for training, employment as well as information and referral to schemes and services.


Job Placement & Support for Persons with Disabilities

Persons with disabilities can approach SG Enable to seek employment assistance. Job-ready persons with disabilities will be supported for job placement and job support through SG Enable's appointed partners i.e. Autism Resource Centre (ARC), Movement for the Intellectually Disabled (MINDS) and SPD. They will benefit from vocational assessment of job readiness by specialists, such as occupational therapists, psychologists and employment coaches.


Workfare Income Supplement

The Workfare Income Supplement (WIS) Scheme supplements the income and retirement savings of low wages Singaporean workers with disabilities. Click here for more information on the WIS scheme.


Workfare Skills Support Scheme

The Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme encourages lower wage Singaporean workers with disabilities to undertake training that leads to more impactful employment outcomes. Eligible individuals may receive training allowance for selected courses and a cash reward for completing training. Call the WSS hotline at 1800-536-8333 for assistance.

SG Enable provides training programmes for persons with disabilities, employers and disability employment professionals to enhance employability of persons with disabilities. School-to-Work Transition Programme

The School-to-Work Transition Programme was jointly-launched by MSF, MOE and SG Enable in 2014. The programme aims to provide a supporting 'bridge' for students to make the transition from school to workplace, by facilitating suitable job training pathways for potential graduands from Special Education (SPED) students who have the potential to work. The programme begins in the student's final year of schooling and extends for up to one year after the student graduates.


Open Door Programme

The Open Door Programme (ODP) aims to encourage employers to hire, train and integrate persons with disabilities. ODP-registered employers can apply for grants and employment support services. Click here for more information on the ODP, or please email opendoor@sgenable.sg or call 1800-858-5885.


Enabling Employment Credit (EEC)

The Enabling Employment Credit (EEC) is a wage offset scheme to support the employment of persons with disabilities (PwDs).

The EEC will be paid to employers of local employees with disabilities aged 13 and above, and earning below $4,000/month. In addition, employers who hire a PwD who have not been in employment for the past six months will receive an additional wage offset for the first nine months of employment.


Inclusive Business Programme

This programme supports inclusive businesses by directly allocating them HDB shop spaces when at least 20% of their employees are persons with disabilities. In addition, inclusive businesses that are SMEs will enjoy a 30% rental discount for their first three years of tenancy, with the option of renewing for another 3 years.
