Council for Board Diversity

Topic(s): Women Empowerment

The Council for Board Diversity (CBD) was established by MSF in January 2019, to promote and achieve sustained increases in the number of women on boards of listed companies, statutory boards and non-profit organisations. It succeeded the Diversity Action Committee (DAC), which had focused on the private sector only.

CBD is made up of eminent members appointed by MSF, with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam as its patron. As leaders with strong networks across boards of the private, public and people sectors, the Council is well positioned to lead the board diversity agenda and influence their respective sectors.
