Here's to Our Volunteers
The Ministry of Social and Family Development has designated 2024 as the Year of Celebrating Volunteers (YCVolunteers). This is to recognise and celebrate the contributions of volunteers in the social sector and beyond.
The YCVolunteers campaign aims to continue to promote a strong giving culture in Singapore, as we strengthen our social compact and build our shared future together. Beyond creating impact on those they serve, volunteers also gained personally from the
experience. The impact will grow when volunteerism is more structured and we are moving beyond ad hoc efforts to sustained impact.
Everyone has a part to play to build a caring and inclusive society. We invite individuals and corporates to start their volunteering journey today and work alongside MSF, volunteer organisations, including social service agencies, to experience the joys of volunteering by contributing your skills and time today.

Helping families find support
Meet Shichang, a super dad who wears many hats, spreading smiles and support through Families for Life (FFL). With a passion for volunteering, he has dedicated nearly 100 hours to FFL in 2022 and inspired his wife and kids to join him in the acts of kindness. Spreading their love through foster care
Now fostering their fifth child, the couple find their greatest reward in watching their foster children blossom and rediscover the magic of play. Through the bittersweet rhythm of growth and goodbyes, it’s the strength in each other and support they appreciate.

Helping families find support
Amidst the flurry of vaccination appointments and worried faces in early 2022, the couple stepped up as Families for Life (FFL) volunteer leaders at Children Vaccination Centres (CVCs). Providing bright smiles and Becky Bunny badges, they transformed the atmosphere from nervous to playful. Continuing their volunteering journey with FFL, their energy was contagious, like a sprinkle of pixie dust that made everyone eager to give back.

Building bridge of children’s knowledge in financial literacy with ComLink+
Syaza is a beacon of inspiration, proving that even the busiest day job doesn’t dim the flame of volunteerism. Her journey is a reminder that one person with a heart of purpose can make a world of difference, one smile, one child’s spark of understanding at a time, while rallying a team of 700 volunteers in her department. Bringing joy and health to children
Three years ago, Javier and team decided to ditch the suits and ties for a day, swapping spreadsheets for smiles. Their mission?
