National Survey of Senior Citizens 2011
To map out the financial, physical and social health of senior citizens in Singapore, then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports* (MCYS) commissioned NSCC 2011. It was conducted at an important time when the first baby boomers (born between 1947-1964) began reaching retirement age. Households with at least one person aged 55 and above were surveyed with a total of 5,000 senior citizens being successfully interviewed.
The Survey on Informal Caregiving
The Survey on Informal Caregiving, commissioned by then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) is the first national population-based survey from Singapore on informal caregiving for community-dwelling older adults aged 75 and over who require human assistance with at least one Activity of Daily Living (ADL).
