Lasting Power of Attorney

The Office of the Public Guardian encourages all Singapore Citizens to plan ahead with an LPA to protect your interests and attain peace of mind. Click here to find out more.

Deputyship

A deputy is appointed by the Court to make specific decisions on behalf of a person who lacks mental capacity and did not make an LPA.

Assisted Deputyship Application Programme (ADAP)

For Graduating Students from Special Education (SPED) Schools and some Day Activity Centres (DACs) and Sheltered Workshops (SWs)

Parents of children in the graduating cohorts of SPED schools or some DACs and SWs can tap on the Assisted Deputyship Application Programme to apply to be their child's deputy, to be able to continue making legal decisions for the child after he or she turns 21.
