The National Social Work Competency Framework (NSWCF) was launched on 20 Nov 2015. It creates a progressive career structure which gives social workers opportunites to develop domain expertise and broad-based skills while equipping them for related areas of practice such as policy making and research; all of which enrich social work practice, knowledge and skills across the profession. It recognises the experiences and competencies of workers across the sector, enables cross-sector mobility and considers the larger role of social workers in an increasingly complex social backdrop.
